Life Cycle of a Butterfly

We are learning about the Life Cycle of a Butterfly. Today we started to read The Life Cycle of the Monarch Butterfly. By Betty Brownlie. We found out that the Monarch Butterfly lays her eggs on the inside of the swan plant. The photo is a bit blurry!

We used our magnifying glass to look at our swan plant. We found an egg. We wrote about the butterfly laying her eggs. Aurelia wrote: I am a butterfly. I put eggs on leaves. Great ideas Aurelia!

Guess what! We all swam in the big pool today! We are such clever kids!!!

This week our letter of the week is Aa. We have been learning all about the letter A and the sounds it makes. Today for Language Experience we cut up apples, ate them and wrote about apples.

Today the weather improved so we started our Swimming Lessons at Wainuiomata Pool. We were amazing and did lots of great swimming!
