Our letter of the week is F. We have been learning so much about the letter F and the sound it makes. We made Fairy Bread this week. Life Cycle Posters

Insect Day

To celebrate the end of our Unit of Inquiry the Junior Syndicate had a celebration of Learning. We had to dress up as an insect! We all shared our amazing learning, sang songs, the teachers read stories, had a parade and the best shared lunch ever!! Our families came and it was AWESOME! Insect Day on PhotoPeach

Presenting our student of the term -Kaia!

At our final assembly today we had the Student of the Term certificates. Kaia received the Room 4 Student of the Term. Kaia has had an amazing term. Kaia has worked so hard especially with her Reading and Writing. Kaia is always really responsible and helpful. Kaia is always showing the Golden Rules. Ms Reid can rely on her to do lots of jobs. Well done Kaia. It is great having you in our cool class.

Look! Our butterfly hatched!

What a great start to our last week at school for the term. We all came to school to see our butterfly hatching from the Chrysalis. We were so excited. It is a girl butterfly because it does not have dots on its lower wings! Butterfly Fact! The male has two black dots on its lower wings and the female has thicker black vein lines. The male is usually larger as well.

Curious Charlie came back!

Last week when Curious Charlie went home with Tenisha. He was a bit naughty and went off on his own adventure. He stayed on the bus instead of getting off with Tenisha. We were so worried!! On Friday he came back to school on the Valley Flyer with Saniti the bus driver. We were so happy that he has come back! He really is Curious. What do you think he did last week?

A Chrysalis

Social Skills Assembly

Each week at Konini Primary School we have a Social Skills Assembly. Each week a different class presents a Social Skill for the School to focus on. This week it was Room 4's turn. Our social skill was Working Hard. This is also one of our Golden Rules and something Room 4 does really well! We had to speak in front of the whole school. Physical Literacy

Circle Time

In Room 4 we have Circle Time where we are learning the Golden Rules. There are Six Golden Rules. We listen to people, we do not interrupt. We are honest, we do not cover up the truth. We are kind and helpful. we do not hurt other people's feelings. We are gentle, we do not hurt anybody. We try to work hard, we do not waste time. We have moved classrooms!

Ms Reid got to school this morning and Mr Sainsbury said the builders are ready to go into your Room and start renovating your classroom. Thanks to Kim, Kylie, Lydean, Ellison and Mrs Keatley we moved our classroom into Room 9 by 11am! Our classroom is going to be like our caterpillars changing!!!! Look at it empty! What will it look like when it is finished?

Life Cycle of a Butterfly

We are learning about the Life Cycle of a Butterfly. Today we started to read The Life Cycle of the Monarch Butterfly. By Betty Brownlie. We found out that the Monarch Butterfly lays her eggs on the inside of the swan plant. The photo is a bit blurry!
We used our magnifying glass to look at our swan plant. We found an egg. We wrote about the butterfly laying her eggs. Aurelia wrote: I am a butterfly. I put eggs on leaves. Great ideas Aurelia!
